Fathers Day is coming up!
Did you get the father in your life a gift yet?
No worries if you didn’t!
I have a list of some great father’s day gift ideas.
I have to say that autism dads are absolutely some of the most amazing people out there.
They accept their children the way they are and support the mom’s the best way they can.
I know that many times an autism dad is bringing in the only income for the household. They put in a lot of work and deserve something special for Father’s day.
Something special doesn’t have to be expensive either! I made a list of 10 gifts you can purchase and 5 gifts that are DIY.
10 Gifts you can buy
1. Cologne

Cologne is a great gift especially if you know the one that you already enjoy.
Ulta has a great selection. You can buy online or go to your local store.
2. Metal detector
This is just a really fun gift but could definitely be useful.
This particular one is from Amazon. I like that it also comes with a handy book on how to use the metal detector successfully.
3. Fancy Flashlight
Do you have a dad that loves camping?
Or just wants to be prepared for when the lights go out?
This is a great gift! This one again is on Amazon but you can also find some great one at your local hardware store or even Wal-Mart.
4. Journal and pen set
These are a great combination if you have a father that studies the Bible or loves to journal.
I purchased these for my own father last year. The journal is really nice and the pens are great.
5. Watch

A watch can get expensive but I found that if you go to Groupon.com online you can get some really great deals on great watches.
I’ve purchased watches from Groupon and have not been disappointed.

6. Engraved swiss army knife

Autism dad will love this gift. It’s useful and you can customize with an engraving.
Heres another one from Amazon.
7. Engraved bracelet
Great accessory for the dads that like jewelry.
8. Autism dad t-shirt
I had to include the novelty t-shirt!
9. Photo mug

The first gift I ever gave my husband for father’s day was a custom mug with a picture of him and our oldest. A treasured cup still.
10. GIft card

Gift cards are super easy!
Then dad can buy whatever he wants!
5 Gifts you can make
1. Handmade card
Pinterest is a great one for this. So many ideas out there!
2. Candy Bouquet
This is an idea I got from Pinterest as well.
Pick out the dad favorite candies. Tape or glue them to craft sticks or skewers and place in a jar. Tie with a bow. Super easy and super cute!

In the gift above I used more candy to make a “vase”. I glued them together with hot glue.
3. Donuts for breakfast

This is not completely DIY but you can make or buy some fun donuts to present to dad on Father’s Day.
4. Fathers day mustache cake

You can use boxed cake mix and frosting to make it super easy. You can find the directions on Pinterest of course.
5. Hand decorated mug
This idea is really easy! And will be fun for the kids.
You can find the directions on Pinterest.
I hope you found these father’s day gift ideas helpful!
What kind of gifts have you given the autism dad in your life that was a hit? I’d love to hear about it!
